Buck Wins $2,500 Street Stock Event at Poplar Bluff

POPLAR BLUFF, Mo. -- (Oct. 14, 2006) Jerry Buck of Paragould, Ar. held off the charge of Kevin Salter to win the Street Stock $2,500 at the Poplar Bluff Speedway Saturday night. Robby Arnold captured third place with Claudie Cook fourth and Doug Moore fifth. They were followed by Jared Wagster, Billy James, Kyle Berry, Chuck Knight and Tim Winchester.
In the Modified class feature, Robby Arnold of Paragould was the winner with Kyle Berry second, Tony Anglin third, Todd Clifford fourth and Troy Fowler fifth. They were followed by Shane Moody, Tim Radford, Austin Matthews, Jeff McGhee and Stephen Groves.
In the Pure Street feature, Robert Williams captured the checkered flag with Austin Rettig second, Chris Webb third, Chris Cannon fourth and Aaron Darby fifth. They were followed by Jacob Black, Willie Glass, Kyle Oberkramer, Rob Lee and Dale Moore.
In the Dwarf/Modlite feature, Brad Paquet was the winner with John Leahy second, Mike Zaricor third, Charlie Savage fourth and Chris Hayes fifth. They were followed by Michael Poyner, Wayne Arnold, Ryan Poyner, Steve Sweere, and Joey Boyd.
In the 2-Man Crusier feature, Retherford/Tyree was the winner with Rigdon/Rigdon second, Prince/Prince third, Leach/Leach fourth and Groning/Gossett fifth.
Donald Black of Van Buren won Race #1 of the Mechanic's Race and Gene Kelly of Portageville won Race #2.
Racing will continue this Saturday night at the Poplar Bluff Speedway, however the ASCS Sprints will not be a part of the show due to a scheduling problem
The regular show will continu with grandstand prices $10 for adults, kids ages 6-12 is $5 and age 5 and under is free. Pit passes are $25 per person.
