build or buy a cage?

New to this and building a saturn to run next season at tri city. I'm a competent welder er but I'm not sure our pipe bender can handle thick tubing without kinking it. Is its worth paying to have someone build the cage or does anyone have any tips to lend? It's a 4 door sl series if that makes a difference. Also interested in any tips for begining in general as it will be my first time racing anything that doesn't just go straight Thanks in advance!

marty smith jr at chubby chassis builds them for about 700 or so i believe for my first car i would let someone else build it just to get a idea.....

Hey thanks for replying. I actually ended up buying a junk cavalier and ripping the cage out of it and welding it in the saturn. I'm to the point of just needing to get the car wrapped and I'll be ready to go. Don't happen to know the best deal on wraps, do you?

no, i know aggressive graphics and high caliber graphics both do some great graphic work..

Where is Chubby chassis now? They're not located in Troy anymore
