Lonnie Wheatley, WINCHESTER, Ind. (May 22, 2019) – Memorial Day weekend has historically been a significant weekend for auto racing in America.

This week is no exception for Brady Bacon, as “The Macho Man” will take in five consecutive nights of racing action aboard four different cars beginning on Wednesday night.

It all starts with Wednesday’s USAC National Sprint Car “Tony Hulman Classic” aboard the Hoffman Racing / Mean Green No. 69 Sprint Car.

Action shifts to the big cars on Thursday night with Bacon taking the wheel of the Klatt Racing No. 6 USAC Silver Crown entry for the “Hoosier Hundred” at the Indiana State Fairgrounds.

Bacon makes the shift from the big cars to the little cars with Micro Sprint action in the Hinck No. 21h machine on Friday and Saturday at Peru, Indiana’s Circus City Speedway with a $10,000 winner’s share up for grabs on Saturday. He then rounds out the holiday weekend with a Sunday night NRA 360-ci Sprint Car outing at Eldora Speedway aboard his BBR No. 99.

Bacon goes into the week after some tough luck during the opening leg of last weekend’s River City Showdown at Tri-City Speedway in Granite City, IL. The Saturday portion of the event was postponed until later in the year due to inclement weather.

Bacon was in contention for a strong finish in both the USAC Midget and USAC Sprint Car features before misfortune struck in both.

Working his way forward in the feature aboard the FMR No. 76 Midget, Bacon was leading the way until clipping an infield tire and coming to a stop with front end woes. Bacon rejoined the chase after quick repairs and limped home to an 18th place finish.

Bacon was then in the mix again in the USAC Sprint Car feature aboard the Hoffman Racing / Mean Green No. 69, battling amongst the top five until getting collected in an incident. Bacon was able to restart at the tail and worked his way back into the top ten with a ninth-place finish.

With a pair of wins to his credit already this season, Bacon looks to boost that total this week.
