“I really think the StormPay.com Dirt Late Model Series is a great deal because it saves the racers money on the engines,” Rayburn said. “I think Mike Vaughn has done a lot for Crate Late Model racing. We have a lot of customers running the Crate Late Models, they’re having a lot of fun, and not spending a lot of money.”

The StormPay.com Dirt Late Model Series currently has 19 points races on its 2006 National Touring schedule. David Gentry of Lewisburg, TN, Ronnie Johnson of Chattanooga, TN, Dennis “Rambo” Franklin of Gaffney, SC, and Shannon Buckingham of Morristown, TN have won the first four events. Buckingham currently leads the National point standings.

In addition to the offering of the C.J. Rayburn Chassis, the 2006 StormPay.com Dirt Late Model Series National Champion will receive $20,000 in point fund money, and a GM Performance 604 Crate Engine.

“Having someone like C.J. Rayburn supporting your series is not only a good thing for the competitors, but it is also an honor for the series,” StormPay.com Dirt Late Model Series Director Mike Vaughn said. “C.J. is one of the founding fathers of dirt late model racing, and continues to be a driving force in pointing the direction for the sport.”
