(Paducah, KY.) Paducah International Raceway will have a rare Friday Night off this week as the high-banked 3/8th mile oval goes to Thursday night racing with Chamber night. Working together with Kentucky Lake Motor Speedway’s race, local drivers will have the opportunity to race for points on three consecutive nights. Chamber members will receive 1/2 price admission.

A full point show for all divisions including UMP Late Models, Modifieds, and Street Stocks, Crate Late Models, Outlaw Mini-Sprints and the Wild 4-cylinder Warriors will all compete. The Wild 4-cylinder Warriors have become a crowd favorite since switching from the 3/8th mile track to the 1/5th mile track making for exciting door-to-door racing action. The lightning quick Outlaw Mini-Sprints have blistered the 1/5th mile track with quick laps.

Paducah International Raceway is proud to welcome area Chamber Members to the raceway on Thursday. Local businesses belonging to the chamber can purchase advanced tickets for themselves and their employees for just $5 dollars. That makes the tickets just ½ price. “The Chamber is an outstanding organization that promotes businesses of all types, we are very fortunate and appreciative to have the Paducah Chamber and it’s members to work with,” said PIR Co-Owner Bob Sargent.

The gates open at 5 pm with racing starting at 7:30 pm. Tickets prices for adults the day of the event are $10 with Kids 12 and under Free. For more information call the PIR hotline at 270-448-4PIR or the track number at 270-898-SHOW (7469).

Paducah International Raceway is a track that is deep in tradition. Built back in the 1960’s this 3/8th Mile High Banked Oval has been a mainstay in the Tri-State area. PIR is the home of the “USA WORLD 50.” In 1984 the USA WORLD 50 was one of the nation’s largest payouts with the winner receiving $10,000. PIR was purchased in November of 2005 by NASCAR stars Dale Earnhardt Jr., Ken Schrader, and Midwest Promoter Bob Sargent.
