Inside Line Promotions - PENNGROVE, Calif. (Feb. 17, 2020) - Chase Johnson is undertaking the biggest schedule of his career in 2020 when he has a whopping 102 races on tap.

Johnson will pilot six different types of races cars for four teams in a season that has nearly two dozen more races on the schedule than in any previous year.

"It's really exciting," he said. "I feel like we have a lot of great races, great tracks and great series on our schedule as well as a lot of cool events to hit. Being surrounded by great people who are positive helps the adventure. It's a big combined effort from everyone to make it possible."

Johnson is coming off of his career-best season that featured 11 triumphs, including at least one win in each of the six different types of race cars he drove.

The outdoor season begins next month in his Chase Johnson Racing No. 24 with a trio of Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour races - March 6 at Merced Speedway in Merced, Calif.; March 7 at Placerville Speedway in Placerville, Calif.; and March 8 at Petaluma Speedway in Petaluma, Calif. Johnson plans on running select 360 and 410 winged and non-wing sprint car events in his car this year.

He will also return to the Thomas Family Racing No. 68 for the sixth straight season to tackle winged and non-wing 410 sprint car shows, including the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series races in California in the spring and fall along with 90 percent of the King of the West-NARC Fujitsu Series, Indiana Sprint Week with the USAC AMSOIL National Sprint Cars and marquee events such as the Louie Vermeil Classic and Oval Nationals.

"I'm grateful to the Thomas Family for continuing to provide me with a great opportunity," he said. "We've gotten better each year and I'm looking forward to another successful season together."

Johnson is also primed to run the most midget races in a season with car owner Tom Malloy. The team plans on racing in approximately three quarters of the USAC NOS Energy Drink National Midget Series schedule, including Indiana Midget Week for the first time.

"I've never been exposed to the national level and national scene in midgets so to be able to do 75 or 80 percent of the races will be really cool," Johnson said. "I'm looking forward to getting out to the Midwest and Indiana. I think it will really help me as a driver."

Additionally, Johnson has a handful of top-notch outlaw kart events on tap with McClish Motorsports.
