The FASTRAK Racing Series powered by Chevrolet Performance for the 3rd consecutive season wraps up the 2019 season at “Redd’s Palace” Screven Motorsports Complex in Sylvania, Georgia for the 20th Annual Georgia Outlaw State Championship the eve weekend before the Thanksgiving holidays. When the race concluded it was 9 Ches Chester from Twin Cities, Georgia taking the checkered flag at the conclusion of eventful Friday under the lights in November.

The race would get underway with Matthew Nance and Ches Chester alongside at the drop of the green and quickly Chester would be able to capitalize to the P1 spot. There we’re numerous caution flags in the first half of the race parking two unassisted yellows for 28 Elliott Sanders and 10 Jordan Benefield. The “BIG ONE” would happen on a restart on lap 11 when Nance and 14c Chuck Bowie would tangle diving into turn one, contact was made sending both up the track piling in several other cars including the 2019 FASTRAK Racing Series $10,000 Touring Champion 00 Carson Ferguson, who locked up the title taking the green flag tonight at Sylvania, Georgia 3/8th mile clay oval.

Under yellow flag conditions Nance would get a little aggravated from the incident and take matters into his own hands off turn four turning Bowie and then plowing into the right rear of his machine, FASTRAK immediately waved the black flag disqualifying Nance ending the evening. Bowie was given his spot back however on the restart cut down a tire. All the while Chester amongst the chaos behind him was able to stay at the top spot. The last caution would fall on lap 25 setting up a final 15 lap run to the checkers. 01 Mark Whitener from Florida was asked to pilot the machine normally driven by Travis Pennington, Whitener had a really strong run going three wide on a restart hitting the dirt berm off turn four, he would have handling issues pitting early.

All the while Ches Chester would have to hold off 22 Nick Schlager coming hard and fast looking for his first FASTRAK career upset win coming strong, having an advantage of lap traffic in his midst also. Schlager would close into the left rear on Chester’s car but that was as close as he could. Checkers would fall on Chester picking up his second career FASTRAK national touring series victory, the same facility “Redd’s Palace” where he conquered his first career win in April 2018.
