Chevrolet Performance engines are the only engines allowed for competition within the FASTRAK Racing Series. Those engines are the CT400 (604) and CT350 (602). The partnership between FASTRAK and Chevrolet Performance dates back to 2005 and that partnership will continue in 2020.

“FASTRAK’s focus is on keeping costs associated with racing as low as possible,” said FASTRAK Executive Vice President DJ Irvine, “Chevrolet Performance’s engines are cost effective powerplants that keep engine costs under control.”

The overall goal of the “crate” engine program is to maintain consistency of power output by refraining from making drastic changes to the engines. FASTRAK’s goal has always been to make dirt late model racing more affordable by controlling on of racing’s most costly components, the engine.

The 2020 season for the FASTRAK Racing Series powered by Chevrolet Performance is set to provide more historic races for its 17th season. The 2020 FASTRAK World Championship will pay $51,000 to win and $2,051 to start on September 18th and 19th at Virginia Motor Speedway. The purse will surpass the 2019 FASTRAK World Championship as the richest race in Chevrolet Performance Dirt Late Model Racing history. The 2019 FASTRAK World Championship drew 113 entries and was broadcast via tape delay on MavTV. Brandon Overton won the record-breaking $50,000 FASTRAK World Championship in September of 2019.

“To raise the purse of the FASTRAK World Championship to $51,000 to win is a statement to the strength and stability Chevrolet Performance has provided for this class,” continued Irvine, “We look forward to continuing our partnership with Chevrolet Performance.”
