Inside Line Promotions - BRISTOL, Tenn. (June 5, 2019) - Mandy Chick scored her career-best result with the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour last Saturday at Bristol Motor Speedway.

"We had an awesome weekend at Bristol last weekend," she said. "We were great right out of the box and carried that momentum through the rest of the night.

"As a lot of racers say, races are won in the shop and that is very true and was proven last weekend. We looked over the car so many times just to make sure that we didn't encounter issues going into the weekend. The preparation and time checking every nut and bolt is crucial to our racing program. VanDoorn Racing Development gave us fantastic setup notes to run with and we set the car up pretty well."

Chick kicked off the weekend in practice with speed that drove her into the top five on the speed chart. She carried that speed through to qualifying as she qualified seventh quickest. A 10-car inversion lined Chick up on the outside of the second row for the main event.

"We had a goal to qualify in the top 10 and we went above and beyond and accomplished that goal," she said. "The inversion played in our favor and put us in an excellent spot for the feature."

Chick ran the majority of the race in third before slipping back a position and finishing fourth. That marked her career-best finish at Bristol Motor Speedway and with the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour.

"My spotter, Josh Nelms, did an awesome job at helping me keep my nose clean and stay out of trouble," she said. "At Bristol things happen so quickly because it is the fastest half mile in the country, so it is extremely important to take care of the car in order to finish the race. I was lucky to have such a great spotter to help me with that and I look forward to working with him throughout this season and into the future.

"It was also so cool to be able to race side by side with some of the guys you've seen racing on TV or heard great racing stories from like Mike Skinner. He had made a mention on the Speed51 Morning Bullring about how Bristol was a man's track, but there was this girl keeping up with the big boys. So to get that recognition and respect from racers like that is incredible."

Chick looks to continue the momentum during her next race on June 29 at Anderson Speedway in Anderson, Ind., with the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour.

"I'm excited about the progress we have made and the momentum we have going into the rest of the season," she said. "It's a huge confidence boost for myself and the team, and we are ready to rally for that championship. I think this is the most suited for the championship that we have ever been."
