Coldwater, Mississippi (07/06/11) – The holiday weekend saw Chris Moore take part in a two races in his #17 Lindsey Motorsports/Shaw By C Moore/FLR Racing Engine Open Wheel Modified, and he came away with a win and a runner-up finish.
Chris entered a pair of events over the holiday weekend, and things got underway on Friday night at Malden Speedway (Malden, Missouri) with a $1,000 to win, USCS Sprint Car event. He would start ninth in the main event before racing his way to a second place finish behind race winner, Ronnie Vernon, in the 19 car field. Full results are available at www.USCSRacing.com.
Saturday night found the team back at Riverside International Speedway (West Memphis, Arkansas) in a Weekly Racing Series Event. The night would get off to a rough start for Chris as he broke a rearend gear in his heat race, which resulted in him starting at the back of the main event. He would work his way through the field and would take the lead with just four laps to go to claim the win over Craig Vaughn and Josh Ray. The victory was his fifth of the 2011 season.
