Coldwater, Mississippi (10/05/11) – Even though it wasn't the win that he wanted it was a successful return to the cockpit for Chris on Saturday night in his #17 Lindsey Motorsports/Shaw By C Moore/FLR Racing Engine Open Wheel Modified at I-30 Speedway in the annual Dirty 30.

After a few months away from the track due to the birth of his twin daughters, Chris returned to action on Saturday night at I-30 Speedway (Little Rock, Arkansas) in the annual Dirty 30, which posted a $2,000 winner's check. A stellar field of 64 Open Wheel Modifieds entered the event, and after starting 8th in his heat race, Moore mounted a great run to finish second. Via passing points he locked into the fourth starting spot for the main event. In the feature he would quickly work his way to the lead as he took over the top spot on lap 4. Shortly after taking over the lead, the caution flag would wave, and on the ensuing restart bad luck would strike as his left front upper ball joint broke causing the left front tire to lay over. Despite his wounded mount, Moore would maintain the lead until lap 26 when Mike Bowers slipped by with just four laps remaining. Chris would go on to finish a still solid second to Bowers at the checkered flag. Full results are available at www.I-30Speedway.com.
