Bardstown, KY-May 8- With 84 race cars signed in for racing action, the thunder returned to Bluegrass Speedway on Saturday night as Joey Daniel of Liberty, KY became the third different Late Model feature race winner as he took the 25 lap Late Model main event. Defending Modified track champion Josh Lucas of Bardstown, KY grabbed the 20 lap open-wheel feature, while Mike Bailey of Clarksville, IN took the $200 to win Street Stock special, and defending Sportsman track champion Bo Wilson of Bloomfield, KY captured the $300 to win Sportsman main event.

The Late Model feature would see Tim Tungate and Lee Devasier bring the field to green, with Tungate jumping to the lead, with Joey Daniel, Devasier, Billy Dever, and David Webb in tow. Tungate's lead would be short-lived as the oil pump belt came off his entry and he slowed to a stop in turn two bringing out the caution with one lap officially scored. Daniel would assume the lead, with Devasier now in second. John Gill would charge from his 7th starting spot quickly and would scoot past Webb and Dever and start to charge on Devasier for second. Meanwhile, 9th place starting Jeff Watson would fire and put the pressure on Dever for fifth as Webb would take fourth. As Daniel began to drive away from the field, all eyes settled on Devasier and Gill as the pair would go side by side for the runner-up slot for nine laps before a caution would slow the field on lap 17. The restart would spell bad news for Webb as he would hit wall in turn one and see his night be finished. The final restart would have Daniel drive away from the field again, while Gill would see his night finish with a broken rear end on lap 19. Watson would continue his charge as he would drive past Dever and claim the third spot on lap 21. Daniel would see the checkered flag first behind the wheel of his Chubby Baird Gate, AMS Race Engines, Hometown Auto Parts, Wayne Bowen Racing Supply, Gregory Graphics, Sam's Super Save, Ed Buis Furniture #77 C.J. Dever would have a superb run and take fourth, with Jeff Napper completing the top five. Completing the top ten were T.J. Wooldridge, Billy Meredith, Larry Wicker, Jeff Bischoff, and David Mattingly. Seventeen Late Models would see Tungate be the SpeeDecals Vinyl Graphics fast qualifier at 16.409 seconds and Tungate would also win the AMS Race Engines Dash. Gill would take the heat race win.

Josh Lucas would take the lead from Jason Wheatley around lap 5 of the Modified 20 lap feature and drive away to score his first win of the season at Bluegrass Speedway aboard the Gerald and Rita Lucas owned Lucas Oil, Riggs Electric, The Car Pool, Family Chiropractic, Sidney's Grill, Dale Meers Race Engines sponsored #78 Lightning Chassis, Meers Race Engines powered mount. Rounding out the top ten would be Robbie Gullion, John Bryan, Joey Jones, Eddie Hasty, and Adam Gootee. Twenty-three Modifieds were on hand and hit wins would go to Wheatley and Rutherford.

Mike Bailey would lead the entire way to claim the $200 to win Street Stock special in a caution filled main event in his Twist-N-Turns, Doctor Boots Concrete sponsored #5 entry. Johnny Cecil would claim runner-up honors, with Michael Coontz charging at the end of the race to take third. Garnett Eldridge and Lee Gray would round out the top five.
