(CARPENTERSVILLE, ILLINOIS) The Dennis Erb Racing team made their way to the 1/2-mile, high-banked Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio from June 6-8 for the 25th Annual 'Dirt Late Model Dream,' which got underway with a pair of $10,000 to win Twin 25 preliminary programs. On Thursday night at the "Big E," Dennis Erb, Jr. grabbed the fifth and final transfer spot through his heat race prior to picking off five competitors during the 25-lap main event to wind up fifteenth in the final rundown. At Eldora on Friday evening in a similar $10,000 to win showdown, Dennis finished sixth in his stacked heat race, second in his B-Main, and seventeenth in the 25-lap sprint.

When Saturday rolled around at the hallowed speedplant, a huge crowd filed in to Eldora Speedway to witness one lucky driver walk away with a $125,000 payday. Dennis was involved in one of the craziest heat races in recent memory - a 15-lap prelim that was halted on lap ten when a sudden downpour caused the lead cars to pile up in turns one and two. After repairs were made to those running in heat five, Dennis returned to the racetrack and appeared to finish second until Scott Bloomquist was disqualified for weighing in light at the scales, which gave the heat race triumph to Erb.

The Carpentersville, Illinois ace then started the 100-lap crown jewel extravaganza from the outside of the front row, but battled a tight racecar throughout the 'Dirt Late Model Dream' and eventually pulled into the pit area to settle for a twenty-sixth place effort. Dennis and his #28 team will take advantage of the opportunity to race closer to home this upcoming weekend, as they have plans to enter the first four DIRTcar Summer Nationals battles from June 13-16. Things will kick off later tonight with a $5,000 to win throwdown at Kankakee County Speedway in Kankakee, Illinois, while the action will quickly shift to Sycamore Speedway in Maple Park, Illinois on Friday and the Dirt Oval at Route 66 in Joliet, Illinois on Saturday for a pair of $10,000 to win contests. The weekend finale, which boasts a $5,000 top prize, will take place on Sunday at Fayette County Speedway in Brownstown, Illinois. While he will not follow the entire "Hell Tour" in 2019, Dennis, who is a three-time Summer Nationals Champion, does have over ten series races on his tentative upcoming schedule. More information on these events can be accessed online at www.thehelltour.com.
