(CARPENTERSVILLE, ILLINOIS) Dennis Erb, Jr. closed out his version of the 2019 racing season on November 15-16 at Whynot Motorsports Park, as the 25th Annual 'Coors Light Fall Classic' was on tap at the Meridian, Mississippi oval. On Friday night during preliminary action, Dennis clicked off the seventh fastest lap in Group B during the qualifying session before advancing up to second in his loaded heat race.

The Carpentersville, Illinois ace then rolled off from the inside of the third row on Saturday evening and was gunning for the $15,000 payday for his first 'Fall Classic' triumph. Dennis was strong throughout the course of the 100-lap affair and steered his #28 XR1 Rocket Chassis up to the third spot briefly before settling for a solid fourth place effort behind only victor Ashton Winger, Tyler Erb, and Darrell Lanigan. Complete results from the season-ending 'Fall Classic' can be viewed online at www.whynotmotorsportspark.com.

"It was a pretty good run to end our season on over the weekend at Whynot," quoted Erb, Jr. earlier this week. "Of course we went down there looking to get a win, but we got up to third briefly in lapped traffic and wound up finishing fourth. Clean air was so important and it made those guys out front even harder to pass. I just have to thank all of my sponsors, along with Heather (Lyne) and everyone else that chipped in on the crew throughout the year. It was a long season and now we have a shorter off-season to get ready for New Mexico, but we will be ready to go as soon as the calendar flips to 2020!"

With Dennis Erb Racing now done for the '19 campaign, they will work diligently to refresh their equipment for the start of the 2020 season, which is only about a month-and-a-half away. Dennis will open up his year with the World of Outlaws Morton Buildings Late Model Series in the inaugural 'Battle at the Border' from January 2-5 at Vado Speedway Park in Vado, New Mexico. Following a pair of $5,000 to win prelims, Sunday's grand finale will boast a $15,000 top prize.

In 2019, the #28 team entered a total of ninety-one (91) events across the country while racking up four (4) victories, twenty-five (25) Top Five finishes, and fifty-seven (57) Top Ten performances. Dennis reached victory lane at Merritt Speedway in Lake City, Michigan ($1,200), at Quincy Raceway in Quincy, Illinois ($2,000), at Fairbury Speedway in Fairbury, Illinois ($2,500), and at the famed Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio, as he bagged the $10,000 windfall in a Twin 25 preliminary feature during the 'World 100' weekend.

Dennis was also a fixture on the World of Outlaws Morton Buildings Late Model Series tour for the first time in his career and placed sixth in the final version of the point standings. With the national touring series, Dennis amassed nine (9) Top Fives and twenty-four (24) Top Tens in the forty-two (42) races held at venues from Florida to North Dakota.
