Doe Run Raceway honors 2006 champions

DOE RUN, MO--Champions for the 2006 racing season were crowned this past Friday night at Doe Run Raceway in a special awards ceremony during intermission.

With 818 points, Casey Barnhouse of Farmington, MO was the 600cc Multi class champion. Joey Boyd finished in the second spot with 655, Mark Shirshekan third with 625 points, Eric Edwards fourth with 595 and Gavin Galbraith fifth with 494 points.

Shannon Burch earned his second track championship at the facility with 926 points. Statler/Boyer racing finished second with 840, Ronnie Moser third with 784, Bill Nickelson fourth with 782 points and CJ Wright fifth with 738 points.

Andrew Cash won the Stock Kart class championship by a mere two points over Scottie Gretzmacher. Cash finished the season with 912, Gretzmacher 910, Jesse Wright third with 804, Lee Stuppy fourth with 768 and Damien Atchley fifth with 734 points.

In the Dwarf Car division, Chris Hayes finished with 829 point to earn his championship. Matt Dotson finished second with 765, Brad Paquet third with 759 points, Billy Joe Beard fourth with 755 and Jim Daley fifth with 689 points.

In the new hornet divison, Matt Greif earned his first track championship with 438 points. Schmidt/Thilking racing finished second with 200 points and Gary Price third with 175 points.
