Just spoke with Lee County Speedway promoter Terry Hoenig at 9 a.m. and he reports that Donnellson received less than a tenth inch of rain last night and, from here in Mt. Pleasant, I can see blue skies to the west.
The 2003 running of "Shiverfest" is a "GO"!
Gates open at 1:30, hot laps are at 4:00 with racing at 4:45 this afternoon.
Modifieds: $500 to win
Stock Cars: $300 to win
Hobby Stocks: $250 to win
Two-Driver Cruisers: $100 to win
4-cylinder Wild Things: $50 to win
NO ENTRY FEES
Pit Pass $18
Adult Grandstand $8
Kids $1 or free if in costume
Pre-race Hayrack rides through the pits and trick-or-treating with the drivers after the races. (Drivers don't forget to bring candy, collector cards or just a "Sharpie" to sign autographs for the little ones)
