Inside Line Promotions - GREENWOOD, Neb. (Sept. 3, 2013) - Jack Dover recorded a trio of top-six finishes last weekend to give him a total of 20 top 10s this season.

"I'll definitely take it," he said. "We passed a bunch of good cars. We ran sixth two nights at a national show. That shows how strong we are and how strong we've been. If we had some luck on our side the last month we would have made some money."

Dover opened the weekend on Friday and Saturday at the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour 35th annual Jackson Nationals at Jackson Speedway in Jackson, Minn.

After placing fourth in his heat race on the narrow track Friday, Dover drove from third to claim his B Main and transfer to the feature.

"The car was really good the whole night," he said. "There just wasn't much passing in the heat race."

The team added fuel, changed tires and tightened the car for the main event, which Dover started 17th.

"I just tightened the car up a lot," he said. "Normally on a big track like that I normally wouldn't tighten it up. There was still a little moisture on the bottom. I knew if I got my car tight enough and it was able to rotate that was where I could pass the most cars."

It worked as Dover charged to fifth place before he started running out of fuel on the last lap, which dropped him to a sixth-place result.

On Saturday, Dover rallied from seventh to fourth place in his heat race, which earned him enough points to lock into the main event. After starting 13 th, Dover again began to maneuver toward the top five.

"We did exactly the same setup as we did Friday night; the same stagger, same shocks, everything," he said. "Our car was getting really good there at the end. I think if we would have had a restart I could have got by two or three more cars."

Dover placed sixth for the second straight night with the premier 360 sprint car series.

He wrapped up the weekend on Sunday at I-80 Speedway with the Nebraska 360 Sprints.

After starting on the outside of the front row, Dover led his entire heat race to garner his 14th heat win of the season. That also put him third highest in points for the feature redraw, which he pulled a six.

That started Dover on the outside of the third row for the main event, but he advanced to second place on the opening lap.

"About halfway through we got in lapped traffic and I had (the leader) passed, but a lapped car cut me off so he got back by me," Dover said. "With three laps to go he blew a tire going into turn one and I must have ran over some of his debris."

Dover then blew his left rear tire exiting turn two as the caution flag was waved. He went to the work area and the team changed the tire. After restarting at the back of the pack, Dover rallied in the closing laps to place fifth - his 17th top five of the season.

Dover is scheduled to compete in a trio of ASCS Midwest Region events this weekend, starting on Friday at Adams County Speedway in Corning, Iowa. He will then race at Junction Motor Speedway in McCool Junction, Neb., on Saturday and at Eagle Raceway in Eagle, Neb., on Sunday for the Nebraska Cup.
