CEDAR FALLS, IA (January 2, 2003) – With a United States Modified
Touring Series (USMTS) title in their sites, Corey Dripps Racing
will team up with Carl Beattie Motorsports in 2003.

Corey Dripps (Cedar Falls, IA) has raced the USMTS on a limited
basis the past four years, and is excited about running it
full-time in 2003. “We’re very excited to team up with Carl
Beattie Motorsports,” Dripps commented. “This gives us
everything we need in order to compete in the USMTS series full
time,” Dripps added. The race team will operate out of their
team shop in Reinbeck, IA.

“The USMTS series has become one of the premier modified classes
in the country,” Dripps said. “It looks like we’ll be running
close to 70 races in 2003.” Carl Beattie Motorsports is no
strange to the USMTS campaign. Beattie fielded cars for modified
ace Tim Donlinger the past few years on the USMTS series.

Labeled as “Mr. Excitement” in 2002, USMTS president, Todd Staley
stated, “with those resources at his disposal, he and the crew
will be right in the title hunt in 2003.”

Dirt Works Race Cars (Walker, MO) will once again be working with
Corey Dripps Racing by supplying cars. “We’ll be in the new DW9
cars with a few minor changes that we’ll make.” Dripps commented.
Real Wheels will provide the team’s primary wheels, and AFCO will
be on board to supply shocks and springs. Past sponsors,
Performance Bodies, Grass Works, and Reinbeck Auto will also
again be on the car in 2003. New sponsors include R.A. Benson
Motorsports out of Galesburg, IL. and RaceRPM.com of Cedar Falls,
IA.

The team will not only be running the USMTS series, but as time
allows will hit other specials like the NEI Dirt Tour in North
East Iowa. “ We plan to run Butler County Speedway (Allison, IA)
Echo Valley Speedway (West Union, IA) when the schedule allows.

Rick Dripps, Corey’s dad and team manager, said that the upcoming
season will be fun. “Everyone is real excited, and we have a new
attitude going into the 2003 season. We’re glad to have long time
team member DJ Holbach back with us. The team will be sporting
all new colors in 2003. The only thing we aren’t going to change
is the number 31. We also have a lot of new merchandise on way
for the fans.”
