Patience Tester
Not the greatest, but some pics all the same. The start:

This guy was the first casualty of an eventful afternoon. Glad to see and hear all the drivers involved in some pretty hard hits walked away.

A restart early on, you can see the dust. They watered the track about a third of the way through the race, basically for safety.

This was a pretty hard hit on the infield wall, the white car continued, the yellow one was taken off on the hook. This is as the accident ishappening. I was surprised to have got the pic at all.

Frank Kimmel had a pretty eventful afternoon, at one point he shot down the front stretch on a restart and split not one pair of slower cars but two. I turned to the guy next to me and said it looked like Frank had lost his mind for the day. That was pretty funny. During the pre race stuff Tony was asked who was gonna win today, and his response was "It wont be Frank." Funny how that turned out, but really Frank was flying all day, he just spent a lot of time during cautions in the pits and having to claw his way back through the field each time kept him from ever seriously challenging.

This picture pretty much captures the essence of the afternoon, for some reason Tony just kept jackrabbiting off on the restarts, and Kenny just never seemed to get the jump on him. In fact, Ken was usually a good 4 car lengths back when Tony was on the gas for the start. It just looked like Kenny was a gear off today, but second place was a great finish all the same. It was just a shame the mods got called, cause I didnt get any pics of the heats, saving my batteries for the feature. Mark Voigt took a solid second in his heat, shame they didnt run. Then I spent and hour in a horsebarn while the rains passed, then another hour trying to get out. But all in all, it was 20 bucks well spent, a good days racing.
