How was it?

Did they say anything about any future night racing at DuQuoin?

Good Show, Had about 20 trucks and 18 steel blocks. Fast time in the steel blocks was someone from Bloomington, not sure name. Heat winners were Mr. Bloomington, and Shane Cockrum.
In the feature, Shane Cockrum took off and pretty much ran away and even streched it further in lapped traffic until a lap 12 caution bunched them up again. On the restart the 14c of Cockrum seemed slow on takeoff and before he got off turn two his motor let go in a big ball of smoke handing the lead to Mr. bloomington who never looked back. I think Ray Emling jr., Chris Winters, and Craig Smith rounded out the top four. Hated to see that for Cockrum because he had it in the bag. That was his only motor so he said his season is done until he can find funding for another one. I did hear that he will be running the Pop's BBQ, Hovis engines, lightning chassis entry fielded by Rick Fuller of Benton Il. this weekend at DuQuion. If it's as fast as his steel block, he'll be a contender.
Good Luck Shane!

caught the races Saturday night at DuQuoin, Arca trucks were entertaining but I really came to see the late models. I believe the 13 late model was Mike Fenney sp. The steel blocks had a really unique sound on the mile. Wish there could have been more of them. Emling was bad *** fast too.
