"Ed Dixon Hall of Fame Recognition Night" at Tri-City Speedway

Granite City, IL -- As Late Model driver Ed Dixon, of Washington Missouri, rapidly approaches his August 14 induction into the National Dirt Late Model Hall of Fame, the former Tri-City Speedway champion will be honored with "Ed Dixon Hall of Fame Recognition Night" during the Wednesday, August 11 Northern Allstars Late Model Series (NALMS) event at Tri-City.

A special presentation will be made to Ed preceeding his participation in the 30-lap NALMS main event on Tri-City's quick quarter-mile. And, as a special offer to Ed's fans, all adults wearing an Ed Dixion shirt to Tri-City on August 11 will receive $3.00 OFF a $15.00 adult (17 years-old and above) ticket!

Dixon, a former Tri-City Speedway champion, has 561 career feature wins, is a three-time UMP National Champion, five-time UMP National Champion runner-up, UMP Sportsman of the Year, 1999 Speedweek Fun Fling NALMS Point Champion and winner of 10 track championships.

Dixon will inducted into the Hall of Fame August 14 during the North-South 100 at Florence Speedway, in Union, Kentucky.

"Ed Dixon Hall of Fame Regognition Night" kicks off the NALMS Illinois Speedweek and Dennis Erb, Jr., Mike Jewell, Don O'Neal, Brian Shirley, Kevin Weaver, Mark Voigt, defending NALMS champion Steve Barnett, Jim Curry, Kevin Claycomb, Randy Korte, Wes Steidinger, Rohn Moon, Shawn Negangard, Zach Carney and Jammie Wilson are expected to battle it out on Tri-City's tight quarter-mile dirt.

Adult General Admission is $15.00 ($3.00 OFF when wearing an Ed Dixon shirt) with Children's tickets (16 years- old and under) are just $5.00. Spectator gates open at 5 p.m. with racing at 7 p.m. Tri-City Speedway is located one-half mile south of I-270 on Illinois Route 203 south (exit 4), just 10 minutes north of downtown St. Louis.
