Eight IMCA Modified dates announced for World Products Empire State Series

DUNDEE, N.Y. (March 17) – Eight races are on the tentative schedule announced for the 10th annual World Products Empire State Series.
Five of those IMCA Modified dates are slated during the regular 2011 point season. Two events will pay $1,000 to win and the tour championship is also worth a spot on the Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot for 2012.
Opening night is Saturday, April 2 at Black Rock Speedway in Dundee, N.Y. Skyline Raceway in Cortland, N.Y., hosts the Sunday, May 29 show.
Newly-sanctioned Dunn Hill 2 Speedway in Monroeton, Pa., rolls out the red carpet for $1,000 to win races on Wednesday, June 15 and Wednesday, Aug. 10.
I-88 Speedway in Afton, N.Y., another addition to the ButlerBuilt Eastern Region this season, welcomes the tour on Tuesday, Aug. 30.
Special series points only will be given for races Friday, Sept. 30 at Fulton, N.Y., Speedway, Friday, Oct. 21 at Black Rock and Saturday, Oct. 29 at Five Mile Point Speedway in Kirkwood, N.Y.
“This year’s series has a good mix of midweek and weekend shows,” said IMCA Vice President of Operations Brett Root. “We wanted to come up with a schedule that was driver and fan-friendly and I believe we accomplished that.”
Eastern Region Director Ed Billings will attend all Empire State Series events.
