Farmington , MO (June 30) -- Four exciting feature events were beginning to shape up very nicely. Only one problem…..No lights.

During the Sprint Division B-Main event all power to the track lights went out. There were five sprints on the track at the time. Imagine walking down the hall in the middle of the night with no lights present. Now imagine that same walk at over 100 mph. Scary thought. You Bet it is. No reported accidents or injuries as the drivers shut down the machines quickly.

The problem with the power came from a meter box. The box was fried and could not be fixed in order to complete the Main events. Since all heats had been ran the show is declared a complete show and no rain checks issued.

The crowd was treated to the annual fireworks display from Mercers Fireworks and went home for the evening.

The Four feature events will be made up over two racing weekends. The two dates are July 14 and July 21. Check out our website (www.sfcr-online.com) for official dates and what classes are being made up.

St Francois County Raceway will not be in action on July 7. We will be closed for the World of Outlaw Sprints at I-55 Raceway in Pevely , MO. Next scheduled racing date is July 14.
