Need electronic Quadrajet off of a 454 probally 81 to 86 trucks....... These are supposed to be a bigger CFM than the small block's had...... e-mail me at hworrell@swbell.net or call 314-821-4356.......rebuildable O.K.
to the best of my knowledge GM did not build any 454's with a feedback (computer controlled) carburator. they were all considered H.D. fed emissions trucks and did not require them. now before some of yall go "uuuhh hhuuu, they did too" "see there, its got one of them electric thingies on top that ya plug in". what that really is, is an accelerator enrichment solenoid for cold start driveability. they ran these engines so lean that they needed a little extra shot when cold to keep from stalling. they only look similar but there not. on the other hand holley did make a replacement emissions legal feed back spread bore carb. they are hard to find and were expensive. 650 and 850 cfm. happy hunting.
p.s. you can always call the guys at C&S carbs in ST CHARLES, they can build ya a stock APPEARING carb that flows plenty.
The biggest quadrajet used on chevy or gm is a 795 cfm and they are found on any 83 to 87 gm cars or truck small blocks. You should beable to pick one up at a junkyard or something if not I might have an extra one laying around.
