Excitement Grows as The UMP Summer Nationals Get Set to Invade the High Banks of Paducah Internation

Excitement is growing as the UMP Summer National date draws closer for Paducah International Raceway. PIR anticipates another strong field of UMP Super Late Models and door to door action packed racing on the 3/8 mile speed plant for Friday nights $10,000 to win Summer National race. The Summer National points chase is tighter than ever after 7 events. Gibson City, Illinois driver Kevin Weaver holds a slim lead of 5 points over defending Summer National and 2008 National Champion Dennis Erb. Randy Korte has positioned himself only 23 points behind Weaver in the 3rd spot.

Along with the UMP Late Models chasing the $10,000 to win 40 lap feature, the UMP Modified, UMP Pro Late Model and the UMP Street Stocks will be on the race card Friday night. Pit gates will open at 1:00pm. Grandstands will open at 3:00pm. Hot laps at 6:00pm, and qualifying at 6:30pm for the Late Models. Racing action will start at 7:00pm.Grandstand tickets for adults will be $25 children 12 and under will be $5. Pit admission will be $35.
