Fastrak Announces Inaugural “Missouri State Triple Crown $30,000.00 weekend”!!
The Mid West Region of the Fastrak Racing Series is excited to announce the Inaugural “Missouri State Triple Crown”. The three race series will be a three day event at three different tracks on Memorial Day Weekend. Each track will pay $2000 to win and $200 to start.
The weekend will begin on Friday May 26th at the Mid Way Speedway in Lebanon Missouri with a $2000 to win $200 to start feature. Day two Saturday May 27th the Series will move on to Lake Ozark Speedway outside of Osage Beach Missouri for the $2000 to win $200 to start second event of the weekend, then day three May 28th the Series moves forward to Montgomery County Speedway in New Florence Missouri for the third and final event for another $2000 to win $200 to start feature.
At the end of the three day event the top finishing points driver of the weekend will actually be crowned and also given a free set of Goodyear tires for their efforts. We borrowed the crown idea from the sprint cars but we wanted to create a “prestigious event”. This is only the beginning of something huge for the Missouri Illinois area.
In talking with Promoters Harold Armstrong of Mid Way, Howard Schrock of Lake Ozark and Mel Kinnard of Montgomery County everyone is excited about this event. All three Promoters stated “people are calling everyday that are building new Fastrak late models and we wanted to give the teams and fans something they could count on for the future. This is only the Inaugural event and we look forward to many more to come”. All three Promoters were quick to add, “It’s great to see all the tracks in the area working together. This is what racing has needed for a long time and with the help of Stan Lester and Fastrak it looks like we have accomplished that. Too many times promoters have tried to ‘out pay’ each other and then everyone loses including the drivers, fans and tracks”.
“I appreciate the tracks in this area” said Lester. “The teams in the area are very excited about Fastrak and this event should give them something back. Fastrak is all about a racing family and we look forward to a fun and exciting weekend. With the $200 to start each night it will give every team a chance to compete and pay their travel expenses. All three of these tracks are great facilities. The track’s and their facilities themselves are second to none and this is going to be a big weekend for crate engine late models. I can assure you some of the best racing you have ever seen in a long time”.
