Fastrak Late Models have already paid over $250,000.00 in prize money in 2006.
In an interesting announcement today with some pretty good statisticians, the Fastrak Dirt Late Model Series has already paid out more than $250,000.00 in prize money throughout the country in the Touring Region races. The Southern-Mid East Touring Regions alone have paid over $203,000.00.
“I never really consider how much we paid throughout a season” stated series Founder Stan Lester. “To be perfectly honest we are so busy running the events and actually still booking new shows for the 2006 season we haven’t had time to even think about it. I can’t believe we are having tracks calling every week wanting shows. Even at this late date in the season. Its great! Man it has come a long way since 2004 when there were only five cars at our first race. That seems like ten years ago now. I hear rumblings now and again about how other types of racing pays more. We never designed Fastrak for people to make a living although now some teams really are doing that. We wanted to do something the tracks could afford and the teams could enjoy themselves. That was our goal from day one. To have some fun! Now we have people making a living racing Fastrak. That’s pretty amazing. I just appreciate all of our teams and tracks for supporting us the last three years. Now our fan base has grown substantially and those same tracks are reaping the benefits. If a team really takes a long hard look at Fastrak, we may not always pay the most but throughout a season we pay a lot more”.
