Fastrak Dirt Late Models prepare for the “$20,000.00 Double Header Weekend”!

The Fastrak Series dirt late models are proud to make their first annual appearance to Thunder Valley raceway and Cherokee Super Speedway this weekend. Thunder Valley Speedway in Lawndale NC will host the dirt late model series on Friday April 28th and then on to Cherokee Super Speedway in Gaffney SC Saturday April 29th for the incredible $20,000.00 DOUBLE HEADER WEEKEND!!

The Series point leader, Anthony Meadows from Lynette AL, will be on hand for the weekend attempting to keep his very narrow points lead. In a statement from Meadows at the previous event he has no intention of letting anyone take his point lead away. “I am going to get my piece of that $250,000.00 National Championship stated Meadows. $50,000.00 to win is the largest points fund in history for racers at our level. I plan on being there and the way this is structured every point you take the National Championship is critical. I plan on having as many points as possible. The Fastrak Series and teams are making National history. There has never been anything like this before in grass roots racing. I am glad to see Fastrak and their sponsors step up to the plate and finally look after the guys they really pay the bills for Motorsports. The Fastrak Series has been the innovator in crate engine late models and they continue to do that with the $250,000 Points fund. Who would have ever believed a quarter of a million dollars for the weekly racer? That’s just incredible”.

Each track will host a live ‘driver autograph session’ each night along with tennis balls throws to the “Fans in the stands” at each event. “The fans mean everything to Fastrak” said Regional Director Jody Palmer. “That’s the reason we do things specifically for them. The autograph sessions and tennis ball throws have been a hit with our fans at every track we go too. The drivers pull onto the front straight, get out of their cars for the “on track introductions”. Afterwards they throw the tennis balls into the stands and each ball has cash in them. Stan started the tennis ball throw and the driver autograph sessions three years ago. He felt this was one of the most important things we could do for the fans and also the teams. Like Stan says, “we are building the Superstars of tomorrow”.

The Fastrak series is known for some of the most competitive racing in the entire country. It is very normal to see three and four wide racing all night long with Fastrak. “Our teams are some of the best in the country” said Palmer. “Everywhere we go fans always comment of how hard the drivers race each other. They do it with respect and allow each other room to race and it equates to some of the most competitive racing you have ever seen”.

Fastrak has quickly become the “fastest growing” racing series in the country with twenty eight weekly sanctioned tracks including Dirt Late Models and also the new Open Wheel Modified series. Fastrak has now designed a new 500 plus HP engine for the sprint cars and expect to see them added very soon.
