Fastrak Midwest/Dirt Late Model Magazine “Night at the Races!” Schedule Set
By Todd Niemann
(EDWARDSVILLE, IL) The remaining 2006 schedule for the Fastrak Midwest Region Touring Series Late Models has been finalized, apart from one date that is still to be determined. All of the remaining dates on the schedule are Fastrak Midwest/Dirt Late Model Magazine “Night at the Races!” events, with over $1000 worth of free fan giveaways and prizes on offer at each race including free magazines, subscription discounts, cash prizes, as well as free t-shirts in conjunction with Unlimited Imprints of Godfrey, IL.

“It has been a very interesting season for Fastrak Midwest,” Todd Niemann, Fastrak Midwest Region Director said. “I am very happy with the progress we have made, and I am extremely pleased with the promotional package we now offer to the tracks due to our partnerships with Dirt Late Model Magazine and Unlimited Imprints. In all, the total value of promotional giveaways for the “Night at the Races!” events is well in excess of $1000 at each track. This is great for the fans, racers and promoters, and I want to thank Dirt Late Model and Unlimited Imprints for their support in making this possible.”

The Fastrak Midwest Region Touring Series Late Models are back in action at Belle-Clair Speedway on August 8 for the opening night of the St. Clair County Fair, followed by a Missouri Boot heel doubleheader starting with Malden Speedway in Malden, MO on Friday, Aug. 11, then on to Poplar Bluff Speedway in Poplar Bluff, MO on Saturday, Aug. 12. After the Boot heel swing, the next on-track action will be Labor Day weekend on Saturday, Sept. 2, at Montgomery County Speedway in New Florence, MO.

There is one remaining date yet to be determined to complete the nine race schedule. “Due to the 51% qualifying rule for the Fastrak Nationals, five more races are necessary to fulfill 51% for any racers who would like to make the Nationals but have yet to run a Fastrak Midwest Region event this year.” Niemann said. “So we will confirm a ninth Midwest Region qualifying date before the season ends to ensure that any racer who wants to qualify for the $50,000 to win three-day shootout can.”
