The rescheduled dates for the Fastrak Points banquets should be announced no later than Tuesday, Jan 10th. The jackets are out for embroidery and the trophies have been ordered for everyone. The banquet is being worked around the schedules of several manufacturers and also the chassis companies that were involved in the “Manufacturers Cup” for 2005. Scheduling for everyone to get together at the same time is no doubt a challenge not to mention the Christmas and News Years plans everyone previously had.

“I apologize to everyone about our banquets” stated Founder Stan Lester. “The unfortunate heart attack was certainly not expected and the timing was to say the least, inconvenient. The Points Banquets are an exciting time of the year for everyone and especially me. Seeing the looks on all the team’s faces as they receive their awards and the good time had by all is one of my favorite times of the year”. Last years Points banquet was a huge hit and I can’t wait to get these behind us and moving on into the 2006 season. I can remember Todd Higdon, our 2004 Points Champion, calling me when he left the following morning jokingly complaining he almost never got the Champions Trophy in his Tahoe because it was sticking out the back window and it was 30 degrees outside. Of course that is very normal for Fastrak teams. Having a little fun is what it’s all about. This years banquets will no doubt be even more exciting”. Anyone that really knows me understands that I am not very patient and sitting around waiting to recover was no fun. However I have learned that there are some things you just can't rush and your health is one of those things".

“I want to address two issues” said Lester. “Several people outside of Fastrak have almost demanded the pay outs for the points to be posted over an open internet forum. I understand people being curious about the payouts. I do, but I also respect the right of our teams to not want it posted publicly. Some teams don’t mind but others do and I respect their right to privacy”. If they choose to post them afterwards, then they are more than welcome to do so”. Secondly "several people have said I may not be back because of my health. Bad rumor, bad rumor! I am already back and we will contine to grow Fastrak not only in Late Models but other areas as well. I may have had to sit at home to recover but there are a lot of exciting things going on for Fastrak not only this year but into the future".

The dates of the Banquets will be held in conjunction with the previously planned Technical Seminars and Promoters Seminars they are being planned to happen on the same days. Technical seminar in one room with Fastrak National head Tech Rick Ellison, while at the same time Fastrak Founder Stan Lester will be heading up Promoters seminars in another room. Later that evening the Points banquets will then take place.

“Rick Ellison has worked with the Series from day one. Rick has worked on more crate engines than anyone in this country” stated” Lester. He is also in charge of our rebuilding program and Fastrak is very fortunate to have him involved with us. Having Rick involved has been a blessing. The key to crate engine racing is keeping it legal and above board. We will teach the track tech men not only how to tech these engines but also teach them what doesn’t work. We will provide each promoter a list of tools and where to purchase them. The idea is to have the “sharing of knowledge”. No one knows everything but with everyone working together we will all be a little more intelligent”. The technical portion of the seminar is open to all tracks and sanctioning bodies.

Lester will be holding Promoters meetings in another room for Fastrak “Weekly Sanctioned” tracks to discuss marketing ideas along with race procedures and rules suggestions. This part of the meeting will be limited to Fastrak “weekly sanctioned” tracks or tracks already contracted for Fastrak “Touring” region races.

Times and place to be announced:
Cost:
Fastrak weekly sanctioned tracks: No charge
Non weekly sanctioned tracks: $150.00
