Five Mile Point hosts Oct. 29 finale for World Products Empire State Series

KIRKWOOD, N.Y. (Oct. 25) – The final checkered flag of the season flies this weekend at Five Mile Point Speedway for the World Products Empire State Series for IMCA Modifieds.
Eddie Sites has a 10 point advantage over 2009 tour champion Kevan Cook heading into the Satur¬day, Oct. 29 finale, during the National Quarter Mile Dirt Track Championships. The IMCA feature pays $400 to win and a minimum of $100 to start. There is a $20 entry fee.
Pit gates at Kirkwood open at 1 p.m. and the grandstand opens at 2:30 p.m. Hot laps are at 3:45 p.m. and racing starts at 4:45 p.m.

Sites is the only multiple winner through the first seven races of the 10th annual Empire State Se¬ries.
Joshua Sawyer, Cook, defending tour champion Chris Fleming, ButlerBuilt Eastern Region champ Mike Smith and, most recently, Gary Roberts have each won once.
The series champion will be added to the ballot for the 2012 Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational and top 10 tour drivers earn shares of a $1,650 point fund.
