Fredericktown & St. Francois host special events this weekend!

(March 17, 2004) The Fredericktown Raceway and the St. Francois County Raceway will both give area racefans a glimpse of what is to come during the 2004 race season when they host special events this weekend.

At the Fredericktown Raceway, the track's annual Car Show & Play Day will be held beginning at 9 a.m. Racers from all five classes (Sportsmen, Modifieds, RAMS Mini Stocks, Pure Streets and Dwarf cars) will be on display in the parking lot area of the track. Trophies for the top three overall will be awarded. Concessions will be available. Then at 2 p.m. at the Fredericktown Raceway the annual Play Day will be held.

Admission to the Play Day is a can of food that will go to the Madison County Food Bank. Admission to the pit area will be $10.
The St. Francois County Raceway will also be holding it's annual Car Show Saturday morning beginning at 10 a.m. Cars from all of the track's classes (Sprints, Modifieds, Sportsmen and 600cc Multis) will be on display with awards going to the top cars in each class, plus an overall champion. There is no admission to the event which will be held this year on the parking lot at Farmington Wal-Mart Supercenter.
