any1 know if godfrey is runnin sunday, thanks in advance, shawn

hmmm. I called and talked to Paige Glover on Friday, and she told me they were NOT running on Sunday.

I wish somebody new for sure so I know if I have to haul ***** back from the mile. The phone at the track just rings and rings. no message. and the billboard outside hasnt been changed when i drove by earlier today. Come on Wade get the word to us. I'll trust Jimmy on this one. He usually has the best information.

for those interested

from what i understand they can nolonger race on sunday is that they don't have a lincense to sell beer on sunday. but that's what i hierddon't know if that is the reason.

There is no racing on sunday's due to the people around the race track not liking all the noise....niebors,church's.....etc........my point is this.. the race track has been there ummm 50 years or so.. you would think that would count for something....

Why can't Godfrey get their S*** together? Either update your website, leave a message on your phone or change the sign outside. How are the drivers suppose to know if you all of a sudden decide to change your rules for Sunday racing after a Friday rainout? Your website says that there will be racing at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday if races are rained out on Friday. If your going to change things mid-stream and for no reason at all; you better find a better way to contact people or get the word out. As of Sunday evening; your sign was still the same, no message on your machine and no update on your website!! The phone message would help greatly; we don't all have internet access!! Very Disappointed!!

hey slim they can not race on sundays anymore due to the churches and besides i believe wade did not say they would be racing every sunday if they rain out on fridays besides when he did run on sundays there was to much *****ing about the start time or something stupid like that so it goes to show no matter how wade tries to put on a show every week some body *****es

I second that..Wade..has tried his best...to keep everyone heppy..and look how they treat him? And the city..pfft! Lol! That track has been there..for many moons..and the local businesses benifit on race day..must be them damn communists! Just jokin..but if i lived near a track(wow..im dreaming)..id pretty much think..1 night out of the week..something loud will go on for about 5 hrs! I wish Wade and the crew the best..and it will get better.

I didn't send that message to argue the rain out policy with 20 different people!! And YES; they did say there would be racing every Sunday if it's rained out on Friday. Their website clearly stated the RAIN OUT POLICY: on the home page almost the whole season!! It ironically disappeared though yesterday after my message was sent - can't figure that one out. All I'm saying is that they should of at least left a message on the track phone when the races were rained out that the next race would either be Sunday or next Friday - they have done that in the past. And give me a break; anyone who decides to run that track knows in advance that they can't make everyone happy; especially racing there for many years before - DEAL WITH IT!! SUBJECT CLOSED!!

i heard the same thing.....no racing on sunday because they did not have the proper permitts to sale beer. and also some the people in godfrey didnt like all the noise on sundays. i agree with slim, godfrey needs to get it together.

lol

Dayum...more of my favorite one name wonders posting!

The man has done a good job this year so cut him some slack!

I dont see any of you jumping up and down at the shot to try and do it!

Next time you need info.....check the threads before bashing wade......and for yall's info...none other than jimmy d takes care of the web site, like the man hasnt got alot to do anyway......(i have no clue how he juggles all this mess sometimes......but a little advise would be

CHILL OUT!

The track has been there for 50 years. Let's consider the total time used during the year. 5 hours x 30 shows = 150 hours of racing. The calendar year contains 8544 hours. If noise is the problem, maybe mufflers would be an answer. Doesn't Highland require them?
