Ryan Guyett of Springfield, IL led all 30 laps in the $1000 to win O’Reilly POWRi presented by Lucas Oil 600cc Outlaw Micro Sprint feature at the Washington Town & Country fair in Washington, MO. Guyett would start out the night finishing second in his heat and winning the six lap dash to determine the starting positions in the main event. Guyett would start on the pole and never look back with the only exception of Kara King of Vienna, IL. King could keep pace with Guyett but could not gain any momentum to make a formidable attempt at a pass. Following Guyett and King at the line were Austin Brown of Millstadt, IL, Andy Malpocker of St. Charles, MO and Brandon Graybeal of Leroy, IL rounding out the top five. An estimated crowd of over 5,000 spectators watched the night’s action on the temporary 1/5 mile oval.
At the half way point in the season point standings, Derek King holds a 210 point lead over Ryan Guyett who has cut into Kings lead over the last three races. Ryan Langston of Greenfield, IN, Brad McDaniel of Carbondale, IL and Jacob Patton of Bethalto, IL round out the top five. The next O’Reilly POWRi presented by Lucas Oil event will be Friday August 15th at Macon Speedway in Macon, IL.
