Jacksonville IL. – Hometown favorite Mike Hess from Springfield IL driving the number 51 family owned Buzzard chassis Hawk Chevy powered sponsored by Dairy Queen Captures his first POWRi Speedway Motors WIN of the year at Morgan County Speedway in Jacksonville, IL. Brad Kuhn who started on the second row outside took the lead on the first lap and led the race until lap nine when he flipped hitting the wall hard in turn three and four trying to avoid a lap car. Hess then assumed the lead running the high side until Brad Loyet passed him in underneath in turn one. On lap 26, the lead was once again relinquished to Hess after Loyet’s car stopped on the back stretch due to motor issues. Hess led the remaining laps to take the WIN.
Ryan Greth from New Cumberland PA driving the number 1j Wayne Laesher owned Hyper Chassis powered by NPS Racing Engines WINS his first POWRi Speedway Motors WIN of the year at Morgon County Speedway in Jacksonville, IL. Greth who started on the pole led all 20 laps working the track both up top and on the bottom. Rounding out the top five were Greth, point’s leader Andrew Felker, Travis Senter, Nathan Benson and Paul Nienhiser.
