Inside Line Promotions - SIX NATIONS, Ontario, Canada (Sept. 28, 2020) - Alex Hill is eager to return to the track this weekend for the 33 rd annual COMP Cams Short Track Nationals presented by Hoosier Tires following a week off from racing.

I-30 Speedway in Little Rock, Ark., hosts the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour event this Friday and Saturday.

"Short Track Nationals is always a great event," Hill said. "It's one of the biggest races of the year with most of the best 360 drivers and teams."

After falling just one position short of qualifying for the Short Track Nationals A Main in 2018, Hill is looking to rebound from last year's event that ended in a crash in the C Main after contact with another car.

"We're definitely looking for a better result than last year," she said. "Things just didn't go our way then."

Hill finished one spot shy of transferring to the A Main when the ASCS National Tour last visited I-30 Speedway in June. She considers the high-banked oval one of the more challenging tracks on her schedule.

"Little Rock isn't one of my better tracks," she said. "It's different than most. It seems like you're constantly turning the wheel and never going straight. But we'll definitely give it our best. Hopefully we'll have a good draw and maybe catch a break. Luck certainly helps when it's a big event like this with lots of cars."
