Hoosier Dirt Classic Weekend Up Next for the O'Reilly NARA Battle of the Bluegrass Series

LEXINGTON, KY (4/16/07) - After getting the 2007 season opener in the books, the O'Reilly NARA Battle of the Bluegrass Series presented by Arizona Sport Shirts will venture into the Hoosier State for a weekend double header at Twin Cities Raceway Park and Brownstown Speedway. Glasgow, KY's Michael England won the Series opening event at Florence Speedway on April 13th, currently leads the Series points standings.

On Friday night, April 20th, the nation's most competitive regional racing Series will make their first ever visit to the Twin Cities Raceway Park in Vernon, IN. A full racing program will take place for the Series with Racing Optics Time Trials, Mason Racin'/Arizona Sport Shirts Heats, Design 500 B-Mains, and the O'Reilly Auto Parts A-Main. The feature at Twin Cities will be 40 laps with the winner picking up a $3000 paycheck for his efforts. The pit gates at Twin Cities will open at 3pm with Hot Laps hitting the track at 6pm and qualifying to follow.

Promoted by Mason and Tawnya Fleetwood, Twin Cities is a 3/8 mile, high-banked clay oval located 1.3 mile south of US 50 on SR 7, then ¼ of a mile east, then north on Rockcrest Road. On Saturday night, April 21st, the O'Reilly NARA Battle of the Bluegrass Series presented by Arizona Sport Shirts rolls into Brownstown Speedway for the 24th Annual Hoosier Dirt Classic presented by Bob Poynter Ford. Racing Optics Time Trials, Mason Racin' Heats, Design 500 B-Mains, and the 40-lap Hoosier Dirt Classic is on tap with the winning pocketing a cool $4000. Gates at Brownstown will open at 3pm with Hot Laps at 5:30pm and Time Trials to follow.

"I'm really looking forward to these races," said Bedford, IN's Greg Johnson, who swept the O'Reilly NARA Battle of the Bluegrass events last year at Brownstown. "We run really run well at both of those places so we're anxious about racing this upcoming weekend."

Heading in the weekend double-header, Michael England leads the 2007 O'Reilly NARA Battle of the Bluegrass points over Jerry Rice, Matt Miller, Mike Marlar, and Victor Lee. England, the 2005 winner of the Possum Town Grand Prix, notched his first ever Series win last Friday in the Spring 50 Tune-Up at Florence Speedway.
