(Farmington, MO) -- Pepsi Cola Memorial weekend racing action at St Francois County raceway found Jarrod Hull, Sikeston, MO in the winners circle for the second time this season. Starting on the pole, by virtue of his dash win, the two time winner race away from the field. Jimmy Hurley, Springfield, Il, Kody Kinser, Bloomington, IN and eventual second place finisher Joey Montgomery, Fredericktown, MO giving chase.

Caution flag came out for Kinser as he spun his mount. He restarted at the end of the field and finished inn the tenth spot. Red flags came out for Bryan Matthews, Park hills, MO, as he flipped his car on the front stretch. He would take the ride back to the pits still in his car. The second came out as the leaders were coming for the checkered flag and the win. Danny Long, Bonne Terre, MO found no place to hide in turn three as he flipped. Danny took the ride I the ambulance and told us after the reaces he will be sore in the morning, otherwise he told us he was fine. The leaders were bearing down on the incident and a mad scramble to miss the cars stopped. All drivers made it through and set up a two lap restart. Joey Montgomery made a pass as the red flag came out for the wreck and had to restart in the second position. Hull took advantage on the start as he pulled away for the win. Montgomery finished second, Tim Montgomery, Fredericktown, MO claimed third spot, with Robbie Standridge, Springfield, Il, fourth and Jason Keith, Fredericktown, MO in fifth. Jason Keith had the drive of the night as he started the main in 20th starting position.

The hottest driver in the modified division is David Shepard. He picked up his third Feature win in a row Saturday evening. It was not easy as the DeSoto, Mo driver had to deal with three time champion Brent Thompson, Park Hills, MO, Matt Eaton, Park Hills, MO, Jeremy Greenwalt, Potosi, MO and Jim Black, Bonne Terre, MO. The virtual drag race down the front stretch at the drop of the green found Thompson taking the lead over Shepard. Thompson working the high side of the race track and getting a great bite coming out of the second turn, but was unable to keep Shepard from running the lower side and taking the lead on the second lap. Surviving two caution periods, one for debris and the other for the spinning car of Shannon Blair. Shepard would hang on for the win followed by Thompson, Eaton, Greenwalt and “The Kidd” Billy Smith, Bonne Terre, MO.

Points racing action in the Pure Street Division is close. Brian Blair got his second feature win of the season by besting Shane Blair. These two are fighting for the track championship in 2009 and were separated by 18 point beginning the night. These two did battle, but also had to keep an eye out for Mike Savage, Dom Wadlow and Greg Sparks. Sparks made the drive up from Bernie, Mo and was making his first visit this season. He would later tangle with Kasey Nations and go to the end the field and fight back to a sixth place finish. Top five are Brian Blair, Cadet, MO, Shane Blair, Potosi, MO, Kasey Nation, Park Hills, MO, Mike Savage, Annapolis, MO, and Dom Wadlow, Ironton, MO.

Kyle Amerson, Wildwood, MO extended his point lead on Saturday night by running away from Dave Chilton, Farmington, MO, Jeff Wiggs, Benton, IL, Tom Sydnor, Hillsboro, MO and Joshua Watters, Crystal City, MO in the Main event.
