CAMARGO, IL ( 3-03-08) by Robert Cortum - Midwest All Star Series

Jerrod Hull’s presence on the track was felt by all Midwest All Star competitors in 2007. Hull was in the points contention all season long as he powered his way to the first-ever series win and kept his winning ways for the duration of the schedule on the way to the inaugural Championship.

“We got out to a real good start with the O’Reilly Midwest All Star Series in 2007 and felt we could be strong all year long,” commented Hull. “We had a few nights where things didn’t quite go the way Scott (Boner) and I had planned it, but we became focused on the Championship, and it all paid off in the end.”

In the inaugural season, Hull amassed more than 2900 points, edging out fellow competitor Rob Standridge by more than 200 points when the final checkers flew. In addition to the opening night win, Hull would go on to take home the big check five additional times including the Tom Knowles Memorial race, where he is now a 3-time champion.

“Racing with the Midwest All Stars gives me an opportunity to run against some of the best local and national drivers out there. It’s great to race against a bunch of these guys. We’ve all been racing together for a lot of years, but it never gets old. The competition is always tough and that is what we like,” said Hull.

The 2008 campaign for the Sikeston, Missouri hotshot will mean more competition as the O’Reilly Midwest All Star Series gains additional drivers and will visit venues that are not as familiar as some of the tracks they have been to in the past. While the addition of the new tracks and competition may be unfamiliar, Hull will be there with a familiar supporter over the past few years.

“I am very excited that Ozarc/Gas has stepped up their program with us. They are a great bunch of guys to work with and it has worked great for the past few years,” stated Hull. “They are well known in many of the areas we travel, and we are excited to work with them in 2008.”

As for goals in 2008, Hull’s plans are to defend his Championship crown and hit and miss other big shows in and around the Midwest . The team has set a goal of winning 20 races as well as putting their best competitive foot to the floor.

Hull’s sponsors for the 2008 season include Ozarc/Gas, Midland Performance, and Rockstar Graphics. He gains longstanding product support from Hoosier Racing Tire, Simpson Safety Equipment, Avenger Chassis, and Velocity Wings. New to Hull’s potent product package in 2008 is Penske Shocks.

Jerrod Hull resides in Sikeston, Missouri and is married to wife and biggest fan, Nicole. As a midseason addition in 2007 to the Jerrod Hull Motorsports Team, Jerrod and Nicole welcomed their son, Jett.
