Hull wins sprint feature at SFCR

FARMINGTON, Mo. -- (Sept. 6, 2003) Jerrod Hull of Sikeston led from start to finish in the 25-lap sprint car feature Saturday night at the St. Francois County Raceway. Joey Montgomery settled for second place with Timmy Montgomery third, Robbie Standridge fourth and Bob Thoman fifth. They were followed by Lee Dunn, Tommy Rockwell, Steve Short, A.J. Bruns and Todd Rowland. There were 35 sprint cars on hand for the event.
Timmy Montgomery won the first heat with Joey Montgomery winning the second heat, Jason Keith won the third heat and Tommy Worley Jr. captured the fourth heat. Hull won the dash.
In the Modified class, Robert Powers picked up the checkered flag in the feature by holding off Timmy Hill for the win. Adam Parmeley captured third place with Matt Zimmerly fourth and Dan Zander fifth. They were followed by Jeremy Stevens, Bob Waterhouse, Jim Swift, Mike Crader, and Billy Smith. Crader won the first heat with Powers winning the second and Kenny Kennedy winning the third. R.C. Hovis won the "B" main. There were 30 modifieds on hand.
In the Hobby Stock class, Chuck Adams put some added heat on the point leaders in the class as he was the feature winner. Points leader Jeremy Greenwalt finished in second place with Nathan Gibson third, Matt Eaton fourth and Chris Boyd fifth. They were followed by Randy Forster, Karl Francis, Doug Savage, Kevin Mosier and Leonard Betsch. Adams won the first heat race with Kasey Nations winning the second.
Dustin Barks rebounded from a couple of "off" weeks with an outstanding performance to win the 600cc Multi feature. Barks was followed by Tommy Boyd in second place with Kent Buckley taking third, Joey Boyd fourth and Jeremy Boyer fifth. They were followed by Junior Ferguson, Eric Ziegler, Jimmy Bridgeman, Dave Chilton and Chuck Fenwick. Casey Barnhouse won the first heat, Tommy Boyd won the second heat and Curt Henderson won the third. There were 22 multis on hand.
