Jonesboro, Arkansas (11/01/10)– Much like the pioneers from over a hundred years ago Hunter Rasdon will head west this weekend in pursuit of gold. In fact, he will pursue exactly $10,000 as he travels to Southern New Mexico Speedway (Las Cruces, New Mexico) for the Fall Nationals.

Hunter last competed two weeks ago on Saturday, November 1st with the $2,000 to win, Halloween Havoc event at Thunderhill Raceway (Summertown, Tennessee). A field of nineteen entries took part in the event. V ia qualifiers, Hunter earned the ninth starting spot for the main event. Hunter would begin working his way through the pack early in the event, and even made a brief stint at the front of the pack before slipping back a few spots. On a restart with eight laps to go, the leader brake checked, causing a chain reaction wreck back in the pack. Rasdon was involved and had to tag the back of the pack. Over the remainder of the event he would charge through the field to a fifth place finish. At the checkered flag Rasdon would be scored in the fifth position behind race winner, Shane Akin, Eddie Rhinehart, TJ Herndon, and Jeff Weaver.

This weekend, November 5th-7th, Hunter Rasdon will make the long tow to Southern New Mexico Speedway in Las Cruces, New Mexico for the annual Fall Nationals. This year’s edition of the event boasts a $10,000 top prize and $1,250 just to start Sunday’s finale. If a driver scheduled to start on the front row, accepts the “Double Dog Dare” and goes to the back of the pack and can charge back to a win, he or she will receive $25,000.
