Bond County Fairgrounds, Greenville IL. - I-70 QMA's 8th Annual March Madness racing series has come to a close. The series consisted of the first four Saturdays of March, and once again, the March Madness race series lived up to it's namesake. The weather was cool, but the racing was hot and exciting.
March Madness race #1 saw a young Indianapolis driver Dustin Davis beat out eventual March Madness series Jr Honda Champion Kaleb Keiser of Hillsboro IL., for the A Main win. Terre Haute IN. driver Gage Pohlman finished 2nd, and Union MO. driver Trevor Landrum finished up 3rd in the series standings. In the Sr Honda class, hard charger Jake Griffin of Quincy IL., edged out veteran driver (11yrs old) Joe Faloon for the A Main victory in series race #1. Faloon caught fire and won the 3 remaining March Madness A Mains to become the 2008 Sr Honda March Madness Champion. Bailey Wenthe of Effingham IL. finished 2nd to Faloon in the Sr Honda class, and Griffin wound up 3rd for the series.
Jordan Campbell of Lincoln IL. dominated the Lt 160 class winning all four A Mains in route to being crowned the 2008 Lt 160 March Madness Champion. Joe Faloon finished second, and Bailey Wenthe took home third.
