ODESSA, MO ( February 15th, 2010) – Exciting news for the Kansas City area dirt racing community – I-70 Speedway has entered into a lease agreement with S&G Inc. to resume racing activities at the historic facility known for both dirt and asphalt racing until the end of the 2008 season when it closed due to declining economic conditions in the area.

S&G Inc. expects to resume racing on the dirt track located behind the historic ½ mile asphalt oval sometime in early summer 2010. The first race event on the dirt oval was April 1st 2007 and 2 seasons of dirt racing featuring open wheel cars and IMCA sanctioned classes were in the record books before the track ceased operations for the 2009 season.

S&G Inc. is currently working on assembling staff and putting together operations plans as well as rules packages for the classes. At this time – rules will be similar to the IMCA rules set – but the track will not be sanctioned as such.

Further information will be coming in the near future – please check www.i70speedway.net for announcements and information.
