While I'm crabbing about other stuff, I might as well get this on the board like I promised the "Meeting of the Minds" folks Saturday night...
To whom it may concern:
Why does the ice cream/snowcone stand at Pevely close and lock up their doors before Intermission even starts?
Two weeks ago, I wanted an ice cream sandwich. I was talking with the "Meeting of the Minds" crew at our regular meeting time during Intermission. Just before the features began, (Mike was just announcing the cars should come onto the track) I went to get my ice cream and the door was pulled down. No sale! Gone for the night!
So this past week, I thought I'd get there before Intermission. Good plan? NO!!! I went to the ice cream stand before going to the "Meeting of the Minds", and during the WannaBees Feature. Guess what? The door was pulled down again! AAAUUGGHHH!!! It was HOT HOT HOT last Saturday night! Why weren't they selling their cool treats? Do they know how many people wanted to buy something?
As always, I complained loud enough that the guy selling in the collectibles stand nextdoor to the ice cream stand said that they had left! But he very graciously offered to go next door and get me my ice cream sandwich, which he did for me. Then he had to go back and put the $$ in their till. He also did this for someone else at the "Meeting of the Minds" group.
Now, on a very hot night, why would the best stand at the racetrack close up before Intermission? And it wasn't because they ran out of food!
I don't know what the problem is, but would someone please see that the food stands remain open until after Intermission?
Thank you!
