It's now official. Here's the letter I got this morning from Denny.

Jeff: After careful consideration of all aspects of
our current racing program at the Fredericktown
Raceway and subsequent meetings and discussions
between staff and management, we have made the
decision to replace the Pro Street class with that of
the IMCA Modifieds for the 2003 racing season. Though
I personally found difficulty in making this decision,
it was based simply on minimal car count that
demonstrated no signs of improvement and/or
consistency and of which created an economic burden
for the raceway. As such, the 2003 race season at the
"ROCK" will consist of RAMS Ministock...Pure
street...IMCA Modifieds...and UMP Late Models. In
addition, the contingencies discussed and agreed upon
between management and IMCA Modified racers regarding
our meeting at Southfork will be implemented and will
include a six week probationary period in an effort to
"work out the bugs" and solidify this arrangement. As
it goes, this decision has been constructed in what we
think is in the best interest of the raceway and may
provide for better economic stability for the future
and virtual survival of the Fredericktown Raceway. In
closing, I submit to you this official news release
for dissemination to all media outlets. Thank you very
much.
