It's Montgomery From Wire To Wire at SFCR

FARMINGTON, Mo. -- (May 21, 2005) When you are good, you're good and Timmy Montgomery of Fredericktown once again proved to the big crowd at the St. Francois County Raceway Saturday night that his is just plain good. Montgomery tripled crowned by winning the feature, his heat race and the trophy dash. During the feature Montgomery lead from start to finish of the 25-lap event to pick up his second feature win of the season at SFCR. Jerrod Hull of Sikeston once again had a strong showing as he battled Montgomery for the lead before settling for second place. Joey Montgomery finished in third place with Keith Burch fourth and Jason Keith fifth. They were followed by Tommy Worley Jr., Jimmy Hurley, Korey Weyant, A.J. Bruns and Steve Short.

Hull won the first heat with Daniel Adler second and Timmy Moss third. Worley won the second heat with Keith second and Joey Montgomery third. Keith Burch won the third heat with Hurley second and Short third. Timmy Montgomery won the fourth heat with Bryan Matthews second and Weyant third. Burch was second in the trophy dash with Matthews third. Seventeen-year-old Tiffany Wyzard, who is rapidly becoming one of the track favorites, made track history by becoming the youngest female ever to win a sprint car race at SFCR by winning the "B" main. Bob Thoman was second in that race with Kent Buckley third.
In the Modified class the feature race was the best of the season with "The Rocketman" John Bohn of Farmington hanging on for the hard-fought victory. Jeremy Greenwalt was second with Kasey Burch third, Mike Francis a very close fourth with Kenny Kennedy fifth. They were followed by Danny Sissom, Danny Resinger, Chris Boyd, Tommy Worley Sr. and Lou Driemeier.
Burch won the first heat race with Sissom second and Boyd third. Bohn won the second heat with Kennedy second and Francis third. Greenwalt won the third heat with Resinger second and Driemeier third. Bob Long won the "B" main with John Ratngeber second and Brad Long third.
In the 600cc Multi class, Dereck King was the feature winner with Dustin Barks second, Ryan Criswell third, Tom Dickerman fourth and Rodney Williams fifth. They were followed by Andy Moss, Brad Greer, Joey Boyd, Daniel Robinson and Adam Holder.
King won the first heat with Mark Gass second and Kara King third. Williams won the second heat with Casey Barnhouse second and Boyd third. Barks won the third heat with Junior Ferguson second and Criswell third. Dickerman won the third heat with Greer second and Moss third. Jimmy Bridgeman won the "B" main with Ray Statler second and Todd Frolik third.
This Saturday night is Coors Night (aka Kohlfeld Distributing). Gates open at 4 p.m. with racing at 7. The Midgets were also on hand for a special event Saturday at the St. Francois County Raceway and here Brett Anderson (#11) suffered a serious spill. It took around 45 minutes to extract Anderson from his car. He was taken to a local hospital and treated for a fractured neck, bruised ribs and a bruised shoulder.
