Lebanon, MO; Thunder and lightning came both on and off the track on Saturday night at the Lebanon I-44 Speedway, with racing fast and furious trying to beat the stormy weather moving in. The racing held off the rain, with all the races being completed except the Late Model feature.

Tony Jackson, Jr. of Lebanon made it two Late Model feature victories in the last four weeks at I-44 Speedway, as he prevailed in the evening's final race which was reduced to 20 laps due to rain. Jackson made a bold move on the start of the race, shooting the gap by going three wide on the backstretch on lap one. Tony would grab the lead on lap one with Kyle Steffens following him through traffic in hot prusit. Jackson poured on the coals and never looked back, dominating to take home his third victory of the season. Mike Sloan made a hard charge from tenth to second, while last week’s winner Steffens came home third. Tony Jackson, Jr. and Mike Van Noy, Jr. of Kansas City won the Late Model heat races.

In the Modified division, points leader Jason Otto of Richland saw his bid for a 5th consecutive feature win short-circuited by Kyle Steffens who rode the 51 car into Monster Energy victory lane ahead of Springfield's Brian Brown. Steffens and Lebanon's Kenny Dickinson captured heat race wins in the Modifieds.

Payton "The Kid" Lucas of Fair Grove did make it 5 straight feature wins in the Pure Streets after winning the heat race and the feature to sweep the night and grab the points lead. The weekly duel between Mike Coryell and Dale Roper, Jr. swung Coryell's way as the Lebanon speedster held off Pee Wee to win the Coca Cola Street Stock feature along with the heat race.

And in the Charger's, Sean Jones of Belle put forth a dominating performance in the 7 car to capture the feature in front of Nick Moore of Richland who took the checkered flag in the heat race. Caston Jones of Belle failed to make the feature, but did win the Carget Motors Dash for Cash.

Next Saturday will include the regular Monster Energy Chase for the Cup points show and double feature action with a National Points Event for the Baby Grands. The National Event is expected to bring drivers in from all over the United States, all looking to stop young Cole Williams’s dominance this season at the speedway. Gates open at 5, hot laps start at 6 and racing at 7:30.

Grandstand admission is $10 for adults; $5 for ages 11-16 and free for 10 kids and under. Tier parking on the Budweiser Wild Side is $12 for adults; $7 for ages 11-16 and free for 10 and under with a $2 discount for senior citizens and those in the military.
