Fairmont, West Virginia (07/25/12) – Jared Hawkins powered his #37 Bobby Lake Motorsports/Rocket/Custom Race Engine Super Late Model to the feature win on Saturday night at Roaring Knob Motorsports Complex.

After taking a week away from the track to freshen their equipment, Jared and Bobby Lake Motorsports returned to action over the weekend in a pair of events.

After being rained out at Elkins Raceway (Kerens, West Virginia on Friday night, the team traveled to Roaring Knob Motorsports Complex (Markleysburg, Pennsylvania) on Saturday night. With twenty-three entries on hand Jared earned the fifth starting spot for the main event, and as the green flag waved he would waste little time working his way to the lead as he took over the top spot on the first lap. Once out front he would never look back on his way to his second win of the season, which came over Scott Rhodes, Mel Minnick Jr., Mason Zeigler, and Bob Gordon. Full results are available at www.RoaringKnob.com.

On Sunday evening the team entered the $4,000-to-win, Connor Bobik Memorial, which was sanctioned by the United Late Model Series (ULMS) event at Dog Hollow Speedway (Strongstown, Pennsylvania). Thirty-five competitors took part in the event, and after finishing fourth in his heat race he earned a starting spot in the main event. He would race around mid-pack early in the race before damage incurred on a restart resulted in damage to his entry, and he was forced to retire to a twentieth place finish. "The past month or so has been a tough time for the team as we've really battled a lot of bad luck. However, after taking a week off to regroup, we have this race car back where it needs to be, and I'm really excited about the upcoming events," commented Hawkins.

The upcoming weekend will see the team taking part in a pair of Weekly Racing Series Events in West Viriginia. On Friday night the action will open at Elkins Raceway (Kerens, West Virginia) before moving to Tyler County Speedway (Middlebourne, West Virginia) on Saturday evening.
