(PINCONNING, MICHIGAN) Jeep Van Wormer had his strongest Stacker Xtreme
Dirtcar Series run thus far this season, as he finished fourth in last
Saturday night's 'YJ Stinger Illini Challenge 50.' Jeep qualified fourth
fastest in Ringers Gloves qualifying and then finished second in his heat
race to earn an eighth place starting spot for the 50-lap, $10,000 to win
show. The driver of the Bay Line Fire Protection / Miller Bros. Coal #55
Warrior Ford Taurus was running fifth until he edged fellow Lucas Oil Rookie
of the Year contender Shane Clanton at the line for fourth. You can watch
Jeep's impressive run at LaSalle on the SPEED Channel on Saturday, May 29,
at 3 p.m. E.S.T.

Jeep also competed in the XDCS event at the Auto Tire & Parts Racepark in
Benton, MO on Friday night. He finished fifth in his heat race, but his
Warrior Chassis sustained major damage and he ended up missing the call for
the consolation race to make the necessary repairs. Jeep took a provisional
and started twenty-fourth on the grid. He primarily used the high line in
the feature to advance up to the fourteenth spot when the checkered flags
flew. Jeep is now thirteenth in the Stacker 2 XDCS point standings and a
close fourth in the Lucas Oil Rookie of the Year rundown.

"We were very good at LaSalle on Saturday night," said the young pilot out
of Pinconning, MI on Monday. "We are running a lot better as of late and
our confidence is growing. We know we can run with the guys on this circuit
and it showed at LaSalle. At Benton, we were coming up through the pack and
got into the back of somebody on one of the restarts. That really messed up
our nose and we collected a bunch of mud underneath our nose that caused our
car not to handle the way it should have."

Jeep and the Iron Motorsports team will head to the Hartford Speedway Park
in Hartford, MI this Friday night for a $2,000 to win ALMS-sanctioned show.
Then on Saturday, the #55 will be in action at the Kamp Motor Speedway in
Boswell, IN for a UMP Challenge of Champions / NALMS event. That show will
also pay $2,000 to the winner.
