(PINCONNING, MICHIGAN) Jeep Van Wormer and his #55 team invaded the nearby Tri-City Motor Speedway in Auburn, Michigan on Friday night, August 9 to enter a weekly Super Late Model event. Jeep started his heat race from the inside of the fourth row and was able to move up one position to grab a sixth place prelim finish.

After rolling off from the outside of the ninth row in the $1,055 to win headliner, Jeep had his work cut out for him during the scheduled 30-lap contest. The Pinconning, Michigan ace was up to the challenge; however, as he blasted his way past fourteen competitors during the caution-plagued race, which was cut short due to time limit. Jeep wound up being paid for a solid fourth place performance at the nearby facility behind only victor Dona Marcoullier, Nate Murphy, and Derrick Hilliker. Full results from last Friday's show at Tri-City Motor Speedway can be accessed online at www.tricityracetrack.com.

The 49th edition of the storied race will take center stage at the Rossburg, Ohio speedplant from September 5-7. A pair of $10,000 to win preliminary Twin 25 programs will kick off the weekend on Thursday and Friday at the "Big E," while a $52,000 top prize will be up for grabs in the fabled 'World 100' on Saturday.

On ten different occasions, Jeep has transferred into the 100-lap crown jewel headliner with his best finish of third coming back in both 2006 and 2008. More information on the most prestigious race in the Dirt Late Model industry can be found by logging onto www.eldoraspeedway.com.
